The Primary D&T Subject Leader Network will look at how Design and Technology can be delivered effectively across a school, considering curriculum, progression and assessment.
Over three sessions, the network will provide delegates with an opportunity to reflect, discuss and share best practice with colleagues from other schools.
Session 2 will explore how aspects of the D&T curriculum can be taught through topic with a specific focus on STEM. Hands on activities will allow delegates to explore and play with mechanical systems: levers and linkages, wheels and axles, pulleys and gears.
- Increase their knowledge and understanding of the D&T National Curriculum
- Participate in a number of practical activities than can be replicated in the classroom
