Anne Longfield OBE - As Children’s Commissioner for England, Anne speaks up for children and young people so that policymakers and the people who have an impact on their lives take their views and interests into account when making decisions about them. Independent of Government and Parliament, her unique data gathering powers and powers of entry to talk with children and gain evidence, enable her to help bring about long-term change and improvements for children, particularly the most vulnerable.
Mark Blois – Mark heads up the Education team at Browne Jacobson and has over twenty years’ experience as an education lawyer. He has been recommended as a leader in his field in ‘Chambers UK’ and ‘Legal 500’ for over ten years. He was designated a National Leader of Governance in 2015. Mark is the Chair of the L.E.A.D Academy Trust and is also a long-standing Teach First mentor.
Emma Knights OBE - Emma is Chief Executive of the National Governance Association- the leading charity for guidance, research, advice and training for school governors and trustees. Emma has written on a range of topics and is co-author of the NGA’s Chair’s Handbook. Emma regularly addresses legislators and the media on governance issues.
The day will include presentations from key note speakers and table top workshops.
