This ArtForms led project, funded by Leeds Music Education Partnership, aims to support and develop the provision of music in EYFS in every school in Leeds. Tap! Ding! Clap! Sing! Is designed to engage and support generalist teachers to deliver music provision which strongly supports early literacy development.
This practical session will focus on exploring the resources within Tap! Ding! Clap! Sing!, our songbook designed to support the development of musical skills in young children. Delegates will learn how the resources can be utilised to support early literacy development. All delegates will receive a song book (with accompanying video footage) and a full class set of percussion instruments.
These sessions aim to help Early Years Leaders gain confidence and ideas to develop their own practice, and to inspire and support colleagues to deliver music activities in the classroom.
Music Connect receives funding from LMEP, the Leeds Music Education Partnership (of which ArtForms is the lead partner), which enables us to offer our training sessions to Leeds Schools and Academies at no charge.
Schools are entitled to send up to two delegates to any Music Connect training session. All training sessions are subject to change and will be regularly updated.
Schools and colleagues outside of Leeds, of within other settings, are also welcome to attend and are charged at the following rates: Twilight sessions (up to 1.5 hours): £60 Half day sessions: £120
ArtForms reserves the right to collect fees in the event of cancellation by the school. If notice of cancellation is received 5 days or more before delivery is scheduled, the fee will be waived, but if notice is received 4 days or less before delivery is scheduled then 100% of full fee will be charged. This is applicable to ALL institutions regardless of subsidy.
