Leeds Youth Voice Summit - Working together to tackle climate change

Against a backdrop of:

  • Greta Thunberg and the global Strike 4 Climate youth movement
  • Leeds City Council declaring a climate emergency
  • UK Youth Parliament voting to "protect the environment" as their 2020 campaign

The Health & Wellbeing Service and the Voice, Influence and Change team are proud to offer this free to attend event for students from high schools and colleges.

Description

Join us on the day to; learn more about the effects of, and science behind, climate change, take part in a Q&A panel with the Leader of Leeds City Council and work together with city Councillors to develop solutions.

  • Bring up to four of your students from Year 7 to Year 13
  • Q&A panel with city Councillors including the Leader of Leeds City Council
  • Co produce solutions with the Council's Climate Emergency Advisory Committee (CEAC)
  • Consider ways to reduce the carbon footprint of your school community
