Many young people achieve great educational outcomes whilst facing significant challenges and overcoming social, emotional and economic barriers. Sadly for a significant numbers of learners this is not the case. This is evidenced by the underperformance of some vulnerable groups in comparison to their peers and the gaps which are present within national data sets. We are delighted to welcome Marc Rowland, Head of Rosendale Research School and former Deputy Director of the National Education Trust as our keynote speaker. Marc will share his wealth of expert knowledge and experience of improving outcomes for disadvantaged learners. Marc has established himself as an expert in this field through his work in a number of national contexts.
Throughout the day delegates will delve deep and consider thought-provoking ideas and strategies that have been successful in breaking down barriers to all pupils achieving success, by attending a range of practical, engaging and inspiring real life, school based, case studies and workshops.
